UGA Lake Lanier Study

Our hypotheses are:

• That the beliefs and references of the community change over time;
• These beliefs differ relative to short- and long-term outlooks; and
• These beliefs change in response to the provision of information about the current science of the lake's behavior.

Current research includes assembling a somewhat eclectic description of past behavior, in part informed by the experience of stakeholders (such as angling enthusiasts), and surveys of the community's hopes and fears for the future of the lake, from which definitions of future behavior will be composed.
